The V International Congress of Medical Imaging and Radiotherapy / VI Congress of Medical Imaging and Radiotherapy of the ESALD, aims to be an event for debating and sharing knowledge and experiences in the area of health, mainly related to Radiology, Radiotherapy and Nuclear Medicine. Thus, there will be moments for the presentation of Free Communications and Posters in order to contribute to greater personal and professional development, which should preferably be in the theme of the congress.

Therefore, we invite you to participate in this space, presenting us with your study, reflection and experiences, in the form of a Free Communication or Poster, individually or in groups.

The abstracts will be evaluated by the Scientific Committee, which will decide on their acceptance for presentation, according to previously defined criteria, through an “ACCEPT” or “NOT ACCEPT” opinion. 

 

Formal Application Process 

In order to properly review the abstracts submitted for evaluation by the Scientific Committee, it is necessary to comply with the following requirements: 

• The speaker must submit the papers; 

• The speaker of the Free Communication or Poster must be mandatorily registered in the Congress; 

• The author(s) must be registered before abstract submission; 

• The works must be original, that is, that they have never been previously presented or published in other National Conferences/Congresses; 

• The author(s) may submit more than one work, as long as they do not contain the same or similar data; 

• The first author cannot belong to the Scientific Committee of the Congress; 

• The topic must be directed to the area of Medical Imaging and Radiotherapy; 

• The author(s) must also mention the preferred type of presentation: Free Communication or Poster; 

• All Free Communications and/or Posters must be provided in abstract format using a specific form; 

• Abstracts will not be forwarded to the author(s) for correction and subsequent reanalysis by the Scientific Committee; 

• Certificates will be issued to all authors of the work; 

• Submission of abstracts for Free Communications and Postres must be made until May 5, 2023, until 23:59, by email to the address: VcongressoESALD@gmail.com. 

• Date for information on acceptance of abstracts: May 12, 2023

• Deadline for sending the poster in digital format: May 19, 2023

Submission rules rjuices

• The abstract must be written in Portuguese or English. 

• The abstract should not include figures, graphs or references. 

• It should have a maximum number of 500 words. 

• The maximum number of keywords is five. 

• The name(s)s) of the file(s) must consist of the title of the work; 

• The email sent must include the full name of the author and co-authors, telephone contact(s) and e-mail; 

• The author(s) with two or more works must send an e-mail for each abstract individually.

 

Free Communications 

• The lecturer should preferably be the author of the work;

• Presentation time for Free Communications will be 10 minutes, followed by 5 minutes for discussion; They will be grouped according to the different themes; 

• The only equipment available for the presentation of Free Communications is the DATASHOW, with to PowerPoint, in a Windows environment.

Posters 

• The first author must make an oral presentation of the poster, with a maximum duration of 2 minutes.  

• Posters may contain images, figures, graphics, diagrams, etc., with maximum dimensions of 70 cm (width) x 100 cm (height). Sending a PowerPoint model is mandatory. 

• The posters chosen for the Congress must be sent in digital format by email to the address VcongressoESALD@gmail.com, until May 19, 2023, until 23:59. 

 

General Conditions 

The appreciation and selection of abstracts are the responsibility of the Scientific Committee of the Congress, which is responsible for: ​​

• Check the compliance of the papers with the aforementioned abstract rules; 

• Select the works presented; 

• Choose the main evaluation criteria; 

• Select the works to be presented. 

• Communication of acceptance or rejection of the submitted work will be carried out by the Scientific Committee until May 5, 2023, by email (you must send the preferred address for receiving the result). 

• Prizes will be awarded to the best Free Communication and the best Poster. ​
